hour cancellation policy. Please cancel 24 hours in advance of a
scheduled class to avoid being charged for that class. Potomac
Pilates makes every attempt to meet and exceed clients’
expectations for quality group classes. While we do our best to
hold the classes as posted, classes are subject to change and
cancellation due to instructor needs, weather, and low
attendance. Please check the web for the most up to date
schedule.
Pilates
An hour of contemporary Pilates
exercises using the Allegro Pilates reformers and the Wunda
Chair. Spring resistance, levers and pulleys are used to improve
strength, flexibility and core stability. Levels offered:
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Open.*
Pilates Boot Camp 30
An Intense
30 minute Pilates class using the Wunda chair and the Allegro
Pilates reformer. The pace of this class is faster than a
regular Pilates class and includes more traditional strength
training work on the Pilates equipment.
Men’s Pilates
An hour long
Pilates class customized especially for golfers, tennis players
and men. This class is not limited to men, but most exercises
will be tailored to men, golfers and tennis players. The focus
is on arms, abdominals and flexibility training especially that
associated with the movement of a golf or tennis swing.
Teen Pilates
An hour long
Pilates class for practitioners ages 13-19, a perfect
after-school activity for young men and women. The focus of the
class is core strengthening and posture.
Interval Jump Pilates
An hour long
class incorporating the jump board and more traditional Pilates
moves to give you the fat burning effects of cardio with the
toning and flexibility effects of Pilates. You will perform low
impact jumps off the reformer rebound board.
Jump Board Boot Camp
30
A 30 minute
class using the Jump board attachment on the Allegro Pilates
reformer, designed to strengthen your core while offering the
fat burning affects of cardio. Open Jump Boot Camp offered.*
Yoga-lates
An hour long
strength and stretch class which fuses Pilates and yoga into one
workout. Focus is on lengthening and toning the muscles.
Super
Side-Lying Hour
An hour of
contemporary Pilates exercises using the Allegro Pilates
reformers and other props, with a strong emphasis on side muscle
work.
Abs and Arms
Hour
An hour of
contemporary Pilates exercises using the Allegro Pilates
reformers and other props, with a strong emphasis on abdominal
and arm muscle work.
Intermediate Combo Pilates
An hour of
fast paced Pilates. Combining Pilates on equipment, jump board
and free weights.
